Residents of Rockland & Bergen
Our goal is simple: Bring you timely information on news and events throughout the two counties. We are not a replacement for your local newspaper, radio station, or cable channel. Rather, we seek to add to current news sources in a way that allows you to be as fully informed as possible.
Our second goal, which underlies the name of our site, is to represent both Bergen County of NJ and Rockland County of NY. You see, we don’t believe that a state border should be a geographic barrier. Given the similar qualities of both counties (though certainly each unique in many ways), we seek to make residents of both counties aware of what’s going on ‘up the street’ and ‘down the street,’ and we hope you’ll agree that our effort is worth pursuing.

Community Groups, Municipalities & Newsmakers
A “Law & Order” TV marathon is NOT an ‘event,’ as excited as some people may be about it. Real news and real events take place in the community, and local groups and active citizens are the ones that make it happen. If you’re a news maker, news reporter, or event organizer, we want to hear from you. We’ll highlight just about any event you’re working on, provided it’s open to the general public–but we may not find out about it unless you tell us, so contact us often.
